I’m an award-winning journalist, photographer, author and content producer.

Based in Melbourne, I produce editorial for traditional media as well as bespoke content for private clients. My work has taken me from Antarctica to Zimbabwe – and everywhere in between – in pursuit of interesting stories, people and places.


I advocate for more sustainable forms of travel, elevate Indigenous voices, and I’m interested in how tourism can be used to address wider issues such as poverty, gender inequality and environmental conservation

it all started with 25 words

Way back in 2013, I entered a Lonely Planet competition asking readers to share their best travel trip in 25 words or less. To my surprise, my entry took out the top prize – a $10,000 travel voucher.

I put that voucher to good use backpacking across South America and Europe, and I was hooked immediately. When I returned home, I decided to put my journalism training to use as a travel journalist, and later, a conservation journalist.

Since then, I've:

  • Investigated the supply chain of Australia's seedy illegal wildlife trade for National Geographic’s Wildlife Watch unit.

  • Hiked into the remote reaches of northern Pakistan to raise money for brain cancer research.

  • Traced ancient Maori trade routes across the rocky face of New Zealand’s Southern Alps.

  • Sailed with scientists to Antarctica to collect valuable water samples.
